From Washington through – Oregon, Utah, and back over Nevada & Oregon
In Utha we stopped in Salt Lake City, Arches National Park, Canyonland National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Escalante Staircase National Monument last but not least Bryce Canyon National Park.
On our way back we made 2 stops in Nevada to visit the Lehmann Caves in the Great Basin National Park and to refresh ourselves at Lake Thaoe. We also visited Vegrinia City and Reno (Vegas for beginners). Detailed information about the individual stops can be found by clicking on the respective links.
If you travel in the summer it is good to plan your trip as early as possible July, August are the main travel months.
Campsites in the national parks can be booked 12 months in advance. Here are the links to the parks in Oregon:
Camping – Arches National Park
Camping – Canyonlands National Park
Campgrounds – Bryce Canyon National Park
Camping – Capitol Reef National Park
We didn’t stopped in at Zion National Park on our journey because we preferred to visit the Lehman Caves. But Zion National Park is definitely worth a stop.
In the maps below you will find sights, hiking trails, camping sites and our entire route.
I am happy to help you with your planning.
